Meeting with the director

Today I had many conversations, on the phone with the Assistant Director of CPS. Because I had so many conversations, covering the same information, I began to get frustrated and started preparing myself for bad news.

Just as I was heading up to my room, thinking we were done and had come to a good understanding, one of the hotel workers approached me with the hotel phone. It was Assistant Director, again. She asked if I had time to meet with the Director right away.

As quickly as possible, I arrived at the offices and at the front gate there were seven men who made it difficult for me to enter. It took me by surprise when one of them began yelling- flailing his arms all around- at me! I started to get nervous when I remembered I had the Director’s card, so I whipped it out like a gun. Angrily he yanked the card out of my hand and began to look at it. Finally, my fear turned into frustration and I yanked the card back out of his hand.

It was like a director had said “CUT!” and the seven aggressive men began talking to me, giving me directions into the building.  When I finally made into the Director’s office area, I sat down and waited about a half an hour. Just I as was getting comfortable, someone stepped out and told me,  “The Director is ready to meet with you now”.

When I stepped into her office, there were about 30 other people crammed inside. We met standing up. I’ve never had a meeting like it. To me, it was chaos, yet I heard some encouraging news. I learned that on Friday the President’s wife was going to learn all about TBLM. By now, if all went well, she was presented with TBLM and knows all about it. Please continue to pray for what God can do in Honduras through TBLM.
